SPORTS INJURY ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT

No two people are the same and this applies to injuries and problems.

To be effective, treatment and rehabilitation must be tailored to the nature of the injury as well as the individual and their lifestyle.

We take a detailed history and a thorough assessment so we can fully understand your problem, how and why it developed, how it is affecting your life and how we can work together to reach your expectations.

A combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription and client education will be essential on your road to recovery and get you back reaching your goals.

Chronic Pain

NON- SPORT RELATED INJURIES

We specialise in Musculo-skeletal injuries- not just Sports Injuries (despite the title we are given as Therapists).

Musculo-skeletal is the fancy term for muscles, bones, joints and adjacent connective tissues. You don’t have to play sport to cause injury or damage to these structures.

Lifestyle can play a huge role as can occupation and both can create chronic pain, postural issues, muscular tension and/or repetitive strain injuries like tendinopathies or athritic changes.

Sports Massage

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage or deep tissue massage, is a form of manual therapy and can be used for a variety of reasons.

Whatever your sport, lifestyle or profession, looking after both your physical and mental wellbeing is incredibly important to be able to function and perform to the best of your ability.

Sports massage can be used in conjunction with rehab as part of an injury treatment plan, it can be used as a recovery tool for those with high training loads like training for an event or it can be used as some TLC for those whose lifestyle may create physical stress and tension that can be detrimental if left untreated.

The benefits are abundant.
